i got a plug-it had different plug in it for something-don't know what - i will let you all know and thanks for the help. I am always open for suggestions - I have older mtd and my cousin's old john deere to mow his yard with when i can-they both are doing ok but i want this murray because the old mtd is about used up - THANKS AGAIN TOM
Try running a couple of ounces of Sea Foam added to the gas tank. Also I rebuilt a carb on a mower a couple of times and never got it to run right. Found a carb on line and the mower runs great now, the old carb must have had a pin hole or something in it as it acted like it was starved for gas but the gas flowed right to it. Also check the intake manifold to make sure it is tight with no leaks as well as the carb to manifold connection.
