It's been a good mower for the small yard I have. I may could repair it if I had the parts but the housing has a good deal of wear where the input shaft enters the transaxle and would rather just plug and play.

Problem is cw rotation with axles in front of input shaft seems backward from most transaxles I have found.

The transaxle looks like it could have been made to rotate either way from the factory depending on the application because it has two input shaft locations side by side with one closed or unused, the metal tag says 915 032A PEERLESS 3083 1146

Its a 30 inch cut single blade riding mower. Anyone ever tried to replace this transaxle with any luck?

Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for a bolt in replacement for the transaxle. I bought one at a reasonable price that fit, but I only have 1 forward gear, which is reverse. It runs about like it's in 2nd gear so I'm gonna make do until I can fix the one I removed unless I find a bolt in replacement.

The bevel gear and pinion are worn out and the needle bearings or bushing for the input shaft has worn into the housing. It may take more skill than I have to get it right. There is also an axle bushing/bearing not listed 73,74,75, that needs replacing on each axle.

Thanks for your help.
