transaxle filter-- Simplicity

I thought it would be good idea to replace rear axle oil and filter. I'm quite sure it never has been. However, now I cannot locate a correct filter.
Anyone here, have any experience with this issue. using Mfg part number comes up no longer available. Is an automobile automatic transmission filter ok to use(if it fits) ???
This mower is 1993, model 1692042- 16GTH. Anyone know what mfg made the trans unit ?

So if it were me, following different discussions online about the part, documented above, I would take the old filter and the list from

https://www.oilfilter-crossreference.com/convert/LUBERFINER/LFP8230 and go to my local Napa to see if they had one that matched.

According to the service manual the transaxle is a Tuff Torq K215A but Tuff Torq's Ordertree's IPL doesn't knowledge it.

The 1707873SM is a Tuff Torq 19485686551 (194856-86551) filter. The problem both are listed as NLA.
