Transaxle boggs down with or without blades engaged. No effect on the cutting deck when the transaxle boggs down.

Single speed manual CVT transaxle. In this case they auto drive just they use a pedal to change the tension on the drive belt which in turn changes the pitch of the variable speed pulley.

Most likely you have belts slipping.
