hello everyone newbie here can anyone tell me how to determine age and model no of my 42 incn cut hydro poulan pro will start go into gear but not move did notice that it will not free ride when rod pulled out would jammed brakes cause this problem if so how do u fix brake problem thank u

Model number and serial number are under the seat or should be. the first six digits of the serial number are month, day, year. If the brakes are stuck it won't role. Lever should be located on the right side in front of axle, may need to lube it up with penetrating oil and then some light weight oil after you get it moving freely. Just keep the oil off of the brake pads and disc. There are two pins that actuate the brakes and they get rusting causing the brakes to stick.
