Toro zero turn-cuts grass for 3 feet then stops

Hi. We just purchased a used Toro zero-turn mower. It's a 2008. It worked great when we tested it out. Got it home...only cuts for about 3 feet and then stops cutting. What could be happening with the blades?

http://www.mowersdirect.com/manuals/Z4200_Z4220_Man.pdf page 45 in troubleshooting section. You will also need to check pto clutch with multi-meter tool and if you find clutch is good, adjust air gap at pto clutch per operators manual.
