I have a Toro Z4235 mower. At the end of last year the mower developed a problem where the left side brake doesn't engage when the control arms are moved to the outward position. Inspection revealed that the teeth on the brake arm (PN 114-1633) had been worn down. The right side has no problem.
I replaced that before this year's mowing season, but the brake still doesn't hold. The motor still tries to drive forward and just overpowers the brake arm and pops it out of place and creeps forward. With the mower off the teeth on the brake arm do appear to properly engage with the disc brake (PN 106-8694). Any thoughts?
Possibly related, or not, but the left side reverse drive also seems to be a bit weaker than the right side.
