g,day menbers , i am new to the site and am from down under , (australia), and i have a small problem with my ride on mower. it is a TORO ZERO TURN Z420, and i am having trouble with the steering as follows .
when i push the two controls forwad , the mower wants to slightly go to the left, IF I BACK OFF ON THE LEFT HAND LEVER ,IT WANTS TO GO A LITTLE FASTER , , can i adjust the right and the left hand controls ,so it will steer straight , i would like to get a workshop repair manual for it ,but dont know were to start looking . i am rertired and in my late sixtys ,and am fairly handy with spanners , so any help would not be forgoten . the motor is a twin cyl/ kolher ,i believe 19 hp, , and the next question , can i get to be able to get a little more speed out of the mower and how do i do it , .
take care guys . ladys , and cheers , welshy 8

welcome to lmf, years ago I had a toro z400 series mower that did the same thing and I just learned to deal with as it was not that bad. I could not mow full speed with the 19 hp on a 52 in deck and get a good cut. Never tried to fix it just used it that way until I sold it and went JD green 60 in 29 hp.

For now
With the brake off and in neutral position, does it creep forward or back at all?

g,day pal. answer to your anwer is no , it does not creep at all . everthing is fine ,except pulling slightly to the left , if i back off on the left drive ,it steers straight and gains a little more speed forward . its as if the left hand drive is holding it back a little .
cheers ,welshy8:licking:

Post the model and serial numbers off the silver tag and I will see if I can finda service manual.
