i just purchased a used Toro TimeCutter Z5020. The mower cuts fine until the pumps get hot and it stops pulling. The oil has already been changed and it didn't make any difference. What should I try next?

Hate to say it, but I think the previous owner burned the pumps out. Does the oil level change when it gets hot?

That's what I'm afraid of. It does seem to loose a little oil after getting hot. Is it worth the cost or replacing the pumps, or should I just buy another mower? Is it common for both pumps go out at the same time? I have a cub cadet that has fire damage, any chance those pumps would work on the Toro? Thanks for the advice!

I would go to your toro dealer and get his price on replacing and then make your decision about what to do.

I work on a lot of these. I had a similiar problem and found that the little hydro release levers by the rear wheels were stuck and not closing all the way.
