It looks like PartsTree has some of those. You need the serial number. I don't know about how competitive the price is.

Those are great engines, IMO -- worth fixing.

yes i use Partstree daily, $40,00 plus shipping etc is a bunch for a float bowl, glad i got the mower for free. just trying to keep it out of the landfill. I have another mower with same engine so i will switch bowls to fire up and test drive system etc before i order. thanks Two Stroke.

As much as I like the Suzuki engine, I have to say that the parts situation (VERY EXPENSIVE) is a big drawback.

Another online parts supplier that usually has lower prices than Partstree is K&T Parts House. They are very good for generic parts and also common things like air filters and wheels. They don't have a float for this carb, however.

Have you try your local Toro dealers. Many times they will have parts from trashed engines.

Rivets, yea my local Toro dealer charges double for everything, they think they are the only place in town to get parts, i try very hard to stay away from there if possible. i may just give them a try to humor myself. Twinfords.

Rivets, you will not believe this one, i did what you suggested and went to my local Toro dealer, i did however walk directly to the rear service entrance instead of through the front door. I spoke with the very kind mechanic and he stated that he would check for me but i would have to go to the front desk. I said great and thank you and proceeded to the front door/desk. The counter clerk says before I even explained myself that they throw all of their old parts in the dumpster and keep nothing, just about that time the mechanic appears with the float bowl in his hand and says here is what you are looking for, yes i replied, thank you so much, the counter clerk says not anymore, as soon as you leave here I am going in the back and throwing all of that stuff in the dumpster etc etc. i said why i am just trying to keep stuff out of the landfill, he says all the manufacturers make junk today and that it is all dispossable, i say yes that is why i am fixing this Toro 1987 mower, (it is not junk) He charges me $5.30 and I happily pay him and he literaly kicks me out of the store. This particullar dealer is by far the worst customer service dealer in the country. enough said!!

That's classic.

It is a shame that so much good stuff gets thrown out.

Hey twin, I would make a copy of what you posted and send it to the owner. I bet he would be very interested in what happened. If he worked in our shop, he would be given a week off without pay, to learn some customer service. If the owner does not give you some satisfaction ( probably a thank you for bring it to his attention ) I guess you just wasted 45 cents. I'll bet that 99% of the owners & techs on this site will agree. Would be interesting to hear what he has to say.
