Toro Self-Propelled Recycler 20322 Transmission Diagram Wanted 115-4652

I picked up a used Toro 22” Recycler model 20332 serial 313040024. The transmission was not working correctly. As you look at the photos you can see someone was in the transmission before. I would like to find a parts diagram for the inside of the unit as I think the issue is they reassembled it incorrectly.

On the long axel side I could see the plastic gear on the actual wheel was ground down. It also seems like that axel would not turn or would lock up.

On tear down I noticed the following:
1. You can see new sealant on the plastic housing (someone has been in hear before)
2. I “think” one or both metal washers were in the bottom of the housing (or I did that when I pulled the axel…). I did notice a pin partially popped out of its “hole” on first disassembly.
3. Look at the 3rd picture and focus on the “white” spiral gear”. Notice there are “nubs” on both side of that gear. Also notice one side seems to be larger than the other. I don’t think this is a wear issue. Seems like it was made this way. I think the black 2 gears on both sides might be different and need to be switched. As I observed it turning it appears those black gears get pushed out to turn the axels. The side with the issues seemed to not push out.

Again, I would like to see a parts diagram and see what it shows. I can only find diagrams and photos of the complete transmission.

Thx.

Please double check your model and serial numbers. They don’t seem to go together. Model comes to a three speed transmission.

Personal Pace transmissions are throw aways. Buy the whole assembly and be done with it.
I owned one and hated it. However, it did mow fairly well. I replaced the transmission once and a year or two later it needed a new one. Nope, I wasn’t doing it again. I moved up to a 21” Snapper Ninja Commercial mower.

Totally disagree, I’ve been working on Personal Pace systems since they came out and I might have replaced 10 trannies. Landscapers buy them all the time and if the trannies were bad I would have seen them.

I certainly had problems with the one I owned.
The transmission costs anywhere from $80-$100.

One bad tranny does not mean everyone is junk!

I didn’t say that. The original lasted several years. It’s replacement didn’t last that long.
For the price of a new one, it’s better to replace it.
I just wasn’t going to do it again and opted for a better system.

Yes, I had the model number incorrect in the original post. I corrected the original. Pic of the model and serial number:

Started out as a 20322 and now its a 20332. Made a lot difference.

That particular model Toro does not offer parts for that gear box only complete assemblies.
