Toro self propelled hit blade stopping object, won't start

Hit a piece of metal hidden in grass. Would not start afterwards. Strong pull back on starter cord. Left overnight and still unable to start occasionally it "backfires". Can the timing be changed by a blade stop? How is it adjusted? This is a toro recycler with a 6.5 engine. No model number but the barcode is 21038 20016 Undercarriage looks ok.

It will have sheared the woodruff key & thrown the timing out. You'll need to remove the flywheel & replace the woodruff key.
