Hi everybody. I am new to this forum. I have a Toro S-200 snowblower Model # 38120 serial # 0509853. My daughter uses this to keep her deck clean after a snowstorm.he not very good about putting in stable with mixing her fuel.
I have taken the carb apart and soaked it in seaform . I had a fellow remove the welch plug and install all new "o" rings and diaphram. We noticed on the carb, it said to put the diaphram on first toward carb and then gasket.
Afer doing all of this, it still do not seem to get gas. I can put starting fluid in the sparking plug and it will run until its out of fuel.
My question is this. Can I get a carb out of Toro lawnmower engine and try it. To get a nother carb for this blower they are looking aat about $ 100. This blower is not worth that amount of money. I can not find a used carb. I would need to know what mower model to look for. O is there hopes of saving the old one.
To help you in your search, it is a Tecumseh carb, and the part numbers in the Toro parts list are Tecumseh numbers, but I would pull it off again, and take it to someone else to look at, or just for info purposes, take off the diaphrams while it is still hooked up, and depress the lever and see if fuel is getting past there.
You might have the diaphragm installed upside down. Look at the parts diagram which will show you how to install. I have also attached two manuals which might help. No, a mower carb will not work on a blower.
Check out the youtube channel, donnyboy73. He's done videos on how to clean those old carbs. Hopefully this link will work. Here's a couple of them of them.
