I have a Toro Recycler, the engine model # is 128M05-0026-F1. I grounded the plug to the engine, and there's no spark happening. I also used my spark tester. I removed the ground wire from the coil to see if perhaps it was grounding out, and it still has no spark. I made sure that the small metal grounding plate is far enough away from the brake, and it is not unintentionally grounding out. I tried a brand new coil, OEM #590454, no spark still.
**This is a friends' mower. She told me that she accidentally used the wrong spark plug in it at first, a much longer threaded plug than the needed RJ19LM. While she could have caused damage to the valves, the flywheel and coil should still be producing spark, as compression shouldn't matter to create spark, right?
I am all out of ideas, and wanted to turn to you all!
