I have a Toro Recycler 6.75 149cc mower. Runs fine all the time, about three years old. Was mowing lawn, ran out of gas, filled it up and now it only started for about 3 seconds and stopped. It's now difficult to pull the string, and it won't start anyway. If someone tells me to clean the carburetor, I guess I can do that with some gasoline, but where is it, how do I get it out? And what are the threads?
So first take the spark plug out and pull the string a few times. It should be easier but may have some pressure in it making it hard to pull. After that here's a video on the carb. After 3 years than you can either replace it or clean. It's like 16 bucks on Amazon
Thank you, that video was exactly what I needed yesterday to fix this thing. Did that man on the video use gasoline to clean his parts, or only carb cleaner? Can I dunk everything into a bowl of gas? At any rate, thank you very much for responding, no one else did. I think I can either have my husband fix it (of course) or try it myself.
