I've had this mower since 1994 with no problems. The past three years, however, in spring, I have trouble with the traction and power. I have about a 4-5% slope and when I go uphill it loses all traction power. I called Toro the first year and they refused to give any advice but referred me to the dealer I bought it from. $300 - $400 later I got the machine back and it worked the rest of the season. The next year same problem and outlay of the same $$$. The dealer tech said it was a simple problem but neither Toro or the dealer would give me any advice or indication on how to fix it at home. Being on a fixed income this yearly outlay really hurts. Anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is?
