I have a Toro mower with the Honda GCV160LAO S3B NH1 engine. Recently I've begun having problems with it running and staying running. It will start, the engine then begins surging non-stop, then the engine stops after a few minutes. I have replaced the thermowax pin, cleaned the carb (jet and emulsion tube), and replaced the sparkplug and air filter. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

Did you clean the pilot jet?

Where is that located in the carb? I only knew of the main jet. Thank you.

Also don't forget to make sure the air bleeds are clear.

These OEM carburetors are dirt cheap as this is as low as to be under $20 on some sites

list for this model of engine for the carb is $14.46 for the OEM carb. Can't even open it up for that price

Suggest buying a couple if you plan to keep that mower. Honda is out of the mower biz and dumping parts.
