You think it would be something easy to find and fix but ??
My Toro Grandstand with a 22 Kawasaki FX 691 is not charging battery. I noticed the other day that the small hydro cooling fan was not running.(starts instantly once you turn the key to on) I foolishly ignored that and went mowing. After about 2 hours, suddenly the blades shut off (electric clutch) and I limped it back to trailer.This is a newer mower for me (500 hours on it) and the battery lite was blinking. When I got home, it wouldn't even start. Barely turned over. So in a nutshell, the battery is NOT charging. It is also a new battery.It seems that the fan AND the charging issues may be related.? You fix one and the other may be fixed at the same time? I don't know. I checked the 4 fuses behind the stand on padding and they were all good. No loose wires, etc.
I can charge the battery, mow about 2 hours and then its done.Battery drained and not enough juice to run the e.clutch. I'm all ears guys !....
