Hello everyone. First post here, hope you can help.
I have an older Kohler 6.75 HP 149 cc on my Toro Recycler lawn mower.

when I release the handle it won’t turn off. If I push the brake lever manually at the engine it will shut off.
I already took off the metallic brake pad, cleaned it up put it back on, also did the same for the fly wheel and magnets. The brake pad is worn down pretty far- all the way to the screw. I tested conductivity and there is conduction between the kill wire terminal and the fly wheel.
I think I need a new brake pad, but I can’t source one anywhere online.

Anyone have any idea where I can purchase a new brake pad?

What is the Spec number of the XT675? It is needed to verify part number.

Now the pad is not separately from the brake assy. The assy is around $20 plus shc.
