Toro 16-38XL rider solenoid

What is the easiest way to access the solenoid? It appears as if the gastank and perhaps the entire cover for the steering and ignition has to come off. I'm flustered.

Yes you have to remove the gas tank. Not that hard, two screws and it comes out allowing access to the solenoid.
