My X425 starts and runs for about 5 seconds, then will not start. Reading through posts here, seems like the fuel solenoid has failed. What super trick wrench is needed to fit between the float bowl and solenoid body to loosen it? My skinny 1/2" inch is too long and my short 1/2" is too wide. I rather not grind down a wrench. A 60* or a 90* mighh do the trick. Thoughts?

Do you have a Advanced Auto, Auto Zone or a good auto shop in your area that will loan you a 1/2” Tappet wrench. If they know what it is??? That is what I use to remove the Briggs fuel solenoid.

Or get a old 1/2” open end wrench and grind it thinner to fit

I have those, one a Craftsman and one a Snap-on. Just too long to get on the nut. It hits either the exhaust pipe or the owning in the frame. If the flats were 1/4 turn counterclockwise, enough for me to break it loose, it would be replaced. If it was a hex nut and not just 2 flats, I would have a problem.

That may be my only option. 14 tool boxes full of tools at home and I do not have something to loosen the solenoid.
