Too much compression?

I have a Husqvarna 2348 with the 23hp Briggs engine. The starter doesn’t appear to have enough butt to spin it fast enough to start. Pulled plugs and it spins great. Have it hooked to running truck with jumper cables. Tries to rotate maybe an inch or two then bogs down. Any type of a compression release that I can add?

Lets start with the model, type and code from either the blower housing or the valve cover.

It already has an automatic compression release. Start by cleaning and tightening the battery cable connections, if no joy check the valve clearances.

Check the timing . Firing too early can cause that problem .
