Someone just asked me if it is too late in the year to seed their newly turned over ground which was previously a veggie patch. The weather here is still quite mild but rainy on and off as always! I thought early October would be the cut off point but maybe it's worth a try?
With the little I know about your climate it appears it's not yet too late, but you better act fast. Your next chance would be early spring. But still I recommend you act fast to take advantage of the cool winter season for the seeds to establish themselves.

Twinkle, does it snow where you live?In my part of the world it's not too late but the window is closing fast. russ
I'd throw the seed down and see what happens. Even if it doesn't germinate this season, the seed will be in the soil and I'll bet some of it will sprout in the spring. Weed seeds are dormant in the winter, and then sprout in the spring. Maybe the same would be true of grass seed.
