First post. Hope yo find some good pointers here. For now I have a 145 automatic, 2006 I think. Changed the throttle /choke cables that come with lever assembly. Seems to have affected the blade engagement. Blades now take longed to get up to speed and I don't think throw now run near as fast. Any advice would be appreciated
thanks

First a question, is the engine running at the highest governed speed possible? Try this, push the throttle lever to the fastest speed, loosen the clamp holding the throttle cable in place, push the throttle cable forward opening the throttle plate on the carb fully open. Finally tighten the clamp. Move the throttle lever back and forth and watch the throttle plate on the carb to see if it is open and closing. If it is run the unit and see if your problem is solved.

Thanks for the replies. I'm currently out of town but will be checking when. I get back. Wouldn't be surprised if Rivets isn't right. I just threw it on and didnt set the cable position s. Hope that's all it is. Will check back in with results
