Anyone on here have a newer, 2014 - 2016, 4wd Prestige or Legacy? If so, what are your thoughts? Any issues?

I have been reading about the 4 wheel drive system and most have said that if you need 4 wheel drive then buy something else. Only what I have read. It does not make it so.

Thanks for the input BlazNT. I actually had a dealer tell me he wouldn't stock the 4wd Prestige because of all the issues but he was not aware of any problems with the Legacy. Made me wonder if he wasn't just trying to get me to spend a little more than I wanted.

Read reviews on Simplicity lawn tractor website for each model. I own a 2010 Simplicity Broadmoor that I purchased new, has 325 hours on machine. The two models you mentioned, Prestige & LegacyXL are tough durable machines, go try them out for yourself, full floating quick release deck and all.

Thanks for the response Mark. Actually I have "test drove" both machines, but that didn't answer my question on any mechanical issues or the durability of the product. My property is hilly, very steep in places, with quite a few obstacles (trees) so I've decided that 4wd is the only way to go for me. And yes, I am a former Simplicity owner.

How about you Simplicity? Are there any reps or dealers this visit this site that have an opinion on the reliability of the 4wd on your tractors?

Well, it looks like no one can refute the claims about the 4wd Prestige having major issues. As much as I like the professional cut a Simplicity can give, since I have to have 4wd, it looks like I will be looking elsewhere. Sad day.

After reading reviews on Simplicitys website, looks like LegacyXL 4WD is the way to go, good information.
