Was thinking about buying a used yth2348 off of Facebook. Guy says it isn’t running but it will crank so I was hoping it will just be an easy fuel issue. After doing a little more research I’m starting to think other wise about buying it. I wanted it so my mom won’t have to mow her lawn anymore and found a good deal on it and talked the guy down to $250. Should I back out or take it on and hope it’s something easy. Thanks !

The only way I would say buy it is....if you can diagnose all the problems and repair them yourself along with, having extra $$$ to put into it.....and or take the chance of it being beyond repair!

If it turns over, that leave 4 things that could be wrong with it. It could be a fuel delivery issue, simple fix as a carb cleaning or replacement. It could have no spark, either an electrical issue grounding the coil or a bad ignition coil. or it could have no compression.
which could be the piston rings are totally shot,or a valve stuck open. 4th, could just be a sheared flywheel key throwing off ignition timing.

I was already planning on throwing some extra money on it because I’d be buying so cheap with intentions to repair myself. I’ve just read some terrible reviews on it and then also some great reviews so I’m on the fence still

The seller says that he was mowing with it and then it started to bog out so he shut it off and then it wouldn’t start again after that. So the first thing I thought was a fuel issue.

As long as you go into with both eyes open....it's on you. Might work out real well or, go the other way!
I know It's hard to pass up a good deal.
