The unintended benefit of Gator blades

I"m not sure if this has been said before but here goes. I have the 54" Raptor SD which had the clutch pulley rattle. I took it to the dealer last year to have the recall work done but it didn't solve the problem. Since I listen to earbuds while I mow it hasn't bothered me too much since I could mostly ignore it. About 3 weeks ago I put some Gator mulching blades on and wouldn't you know it, they solved the rattle! ~10 hours of mowing rattle free so far. The extra weight I assume. So if you're on the fence about buying the blades, here is one more reason.

Anyone else have the same experience?

Question, do you have the mulching kit installed or just wanted to add the blades. How is the cut with them, notice any change other than the rattle?

No mulching kit. I cant say it cuts any better, but the finer clippings seem to disappear/blend-in and look better than the longer clippings you'll get with standard blades. I have no regrets on purchasing them, but i'm not going to tell you they blow my mind either.

I put gator blades on last year and really liked them. End of season I cleaned the deck and through old blades back on. Wanted to use the stock ones for the first few cuts. Did not want to hit any rocks from snow plow or sticks with new blades. I noticed that the deck was a lot smoother and quieter than I thought. Put gators back on and all rattles came back to life. Also noticed with gators the unit seemed to be slower. Put stock ones on and happy camper once again. I did like the way they cut but think they are to heavy.
