Techcumseh Will not Start

Last summer I put a fuel filter and valve on my Ariens 932103 Snowblower. I however did not want to redrain the fuel in the carb so I did not start it. I went to start it in November and I had fuel coming out of the primer. I researched it an many online were saying to simply clean out the ports on the carb and it should fix that issue. So I rebuilt the carb and initially had the same issue for a few seconds, then it stopped. I tried to prime the engine and I am not pushing any fuel, only air. The air looks to be coming out of the hole labeled #20 in the diagram. Needless to say I went to start the engine and nothing. I have spark and there is fuel in the carb bowl.

I suspect the air leak is coming out of the bowl gasket. Tecumseh primes the carb by pressurizing the the fuel bowl, which it turn forces fuel up the emulsion tube to prime the engine. Make sure item 20 ie, air bleed is tight and not just sitting loose.

Bowl gasket is new and sealing fuel. Maybe I need to torque the bowl nut more....

I would replace the float needle and seat.

needle and seat were replaced and needle/seat holds pressure when the needle is closed and that air passes with the needle open.

Have you checked to see if the primer line and primer bulb are in good condition. If either are cracked, it will not prime.

Buy a new carb.

When I push the primer bulb I get air flow to the carb. If I have air flow with the hose off, does that alone deem it to be good?

Look into the throat of the carb while pushing the primer bulb. If everything else on the carb is good, you should see fuel squirting up.
