Opinions on a swisher 27hp, 66" cut zero turn mower, please.

I don't know much about these as I have read very few posts regarding them. I do know that they are a special order brand at Lowes and I seem to recall thy are light duty ZTR's. I also seem to recall reading some threads where the owners gave them a pretty bad review. With the small number of times I've read threads about a Swisher, you may have to do some searching to get more info about them(especially from some current owners). They don't seem to be a very popular brand from what I gather.

Most of us advise users that are looking to buy to check local dealers, rather than look at big box stores like Lowes, Home Depot, etc. If you were to have any problems during warranty you would end up at a dealer anyway since Lowes doesn't do repairs. There are a LOT of good ZTR's out there it just depends on what you are looking for. What is your budget for a new ZTR and maybe we can give you some suggestions? There are pretty decent machines by Toro, Hustler, Husqvarna, Dixie Chopper, Cub Cadet and many others that will fit about any budget, but only you know what you need for deck size and other options to meet those needs. All we know right now is that you were looking at a 66" deck. Whoa...that's a big ZTR. ZTR mowers are so much faster, you would need a considerable amount of land(or mow commercially) to need a deck that big. Most homeowners can get by with a 48"-54" deck for an average to large yard(1-2 acres). Of course if you have 15 acres to mow or mow commercially you may need one that big. Tell us more about what you are needing a ZTR for and how much you are willing to spend. We will help with some recommendations if we can.
