super mini z leak

hello I wanted to say I have a hustler super mini z. The dealer told me that the motor is leaking from the sump gasket also I know that I need a new wheel motorthe motor is a 27 kholer. I wanted to ask to see how bad of a job it is replacing the gasket and where the best place to get the parts would be for both the motor and then we'll motor the dealer has quoted me about 2000 dollars to fix the machineany help would be great thank you

I think I would get a second opinion. The sump gasket repair shouldn't go over $300-350, and that is on the high side. As far as the wheel motor, even it it has to be replaced with new, shouldn't run over $1000. Parts for the engine should run about $20 through a dealer, parts for wheel motor, depending on who made it may be $300-500 on the high side if parts are available for the wheel motor.

I agree with ILengine on this one, get a second opinion. The prices you quote are definitely on the high side. Any good repair shop should be able to help you out, does not have to be a Hustler dealer.
