Hello,
I'm repurposing a 2 cylinder 25 hp Subaru engine in my golf cart. I believe it is burning through ignition coils. I have 2 new coils but don't want to install them until I can understand and connect the Stop Diode correctly.
As I said I have 2 new factory coils. They each have a single spade terminal and stop diode has a single lead that was not connected. My questions are > Am I on the right track? Could a lack of voltage suppression be killing the coils?
Do I just daisy chain the coil terminals to this diode? Thank you in advance for any help.
