When weed eater has sat for several hours, am able to start for couple seconds with choke engaged and then dies. Then turn choke off, and will not start. Notice fuel spitting out exhaust. Spark arrester has been removed. Today, took carb apart and cleaned; did not, however, replace gaskets. Same issue. Choked and started a couple seconds then died. When turn choke off, and attempt to start, notice fuel spitting out exhaust. Need new carb? Any ideas to resolve appreciated.

Sounds like the carb is flooding, clean and replace parts in the carb or replace it, also check the coil, you may have a bad one.
