stihl fs300 strimmer

hi i have the above strimmer its been working ok untill now but when it runs it tries to keep cutting out but when i loosen the petrol cap i goes for another 5 mins any ideas thanks

Replace the petrol cap. There is an active recall here in the U.S. regarding the petrol cap. If the vent in the cap is not working as designed, a vacuum will build and prevent fuel flow. On some Stihl products there is a separate vent so look around for a vent.

cheers mate but i have had this strimmer for a while with no problems is it the fs300 over there theve had problems with?
