Stilhl FS 250R a few years old. Will start up, but its stuck in idle and wont throttle. Put in new carb on, changed plug, air filters good, fuel lines appear to be in good shape, and fairly recent fuel filter. Aggravating beyond belief please help

Check the cable that links the throttle control to the carb. i have had the link end come out at the carb. Solved by using a little hi temp silicone to hold it in place.

can you turn the throttle lever on the carb with your fingers (which the throttle cable connects to) to rev up the engine? , if the engine starts to rev then bogs down or sounds muffeld, check the exhaust outlet, carbon may have blocked the spark arrestor or a insect has built a nest & plugged it.

Sounds to me like a clogged spark arrestor. Just something real easy to check. If it is clogged you can replace it or just not have it in there.

Thanks for the ideas, but its not the throttle, exhaust is clean, and not the spark arrestor. I am thinking its in the black box, because other than that I am stumped

if the trigger isnt functioning, its likely a spring inside the handle broke,or popped out of place,if you take off the engine cover there is a plastic piece the cable loops over with a torx screw, try screwing that up or down to see if it draws the cable end toward the throttle on the carb,
