I purchased a New Stihl BR800C this fall to blow leaves, This is the second time using in the winter for blowing light snow, I keep it in cold storage and this morning while blowing snow i was getting some snow dust blowing back onto me and the machine, then In started to feel my throttle hand tingling like hell, I grabbed the throttle with my left hand and the same, I figured out I was getting Shocked I had the throttle lock on so I grabbed the tube I grabbed the handle again and same Shock, after awhile blowing I was able to hold the handle the sure enough started Shocking again. Do I need a grounding strap and if so where? Thanks for any and all help.

I don't have any new info covering your unit, but here is a bulletin from an older unit, and I am sure that the issues with static buildup are the same.

But if it is brand new, I would contact the dealer, as they would likely have an update.
