Sthil Pole Saw Repair

I had a to cut a clients tree that was hanging over her fence and into the lake in the back of her yard after she received a notice from the city that it needed to be cut so they could sweep the lake. Figured it should be a easy job with the pole saw, until after cutting one branch it shut off. After checking the gas I realize it was out, once I refilled it with mix gas, I attempted to crank it back up but I got nothing but a rattle but no start. I still cut the tree but it took forever without the pole saw. Any advice on what I could do to get back running again?

If you have spark and fuel and it still won't run I would check compression.

You can also pull the muffler and take a look at the piston. If scored it's done. You'll need a rebuild.
