Steering issue...

I posted earlier in the week about my steering issue. After taking it apart, I think the problem is obvious. As you can see in the pictures I've attached, the axle on one side is bent back (marked as (1). I believe this is because the rod/bar that goes across (marked as (2), is bent. This appears to be the obvious problem. What is this part called? I also had a starting issue and thanks to the people who took the time to respond to my post, the issue has been resolved. It was the valve clearance that needed to be adjusted. I did that myself and all is good with starting. Just need to get the part for the steering and I'm all good.

The rod is bent, and has been referred to as either a tie rod or drag link. Go to 301 Moved Permanently and put in your model number, and then pull up the diagram for the steering. Get that part number and then you can order it from any poulan dealer if your model number starts with 917 , I can't remember the code for MTD but anyway.
