Starts Hard Wheh Hot

I just purchased a Snapper 21" self propelled mower model P217017BV with a Briggs & Stratton 725exi series engine. It is called a Ready Start which has no choke or primer bubble. It starts great when cold but doesn't even try when hot. Other than change the spark plug does anyone have any experience with this engine or thoughts on troubleshooting?

Next time you run it and shut it off hot remove the air cleaner and see if the choke butterfly is open or closed. If open then something fuel related is going on. If closed with a hot engine then the thermistor on the muffler or something going on with the choke linkage is amiss.
