I inherited a Kubota G2160 from my father about 2 years ago. It had been sitting for at least a year when I got it, and the batter was dead. I put a New battery on it, and it started fine for a while, but after a few months, it would not turn the engine over without jumping it. I cleaned the terminals and all connections. I replaced the old battery with a like sized battery. Quite often, When going in reverse, after the engine ‘reverse defueler, (or whatever it’s called) the engine would die, and it would not start again until I jumped it, and Most of the time I’d have to let it sit 2-3 hours. I don’t think there was any overheating issues. Could this be an ignition switch isssue? Battery undersized? The mower is really in great shape otherwise, and has 300 hours, I think. When It’s running it does great, but I’m about ready to get rid of it. Suggestions on possible issues?also, I replaced the starter a while back, but it didn’t help.
