All the wiring is new with a new solenoid.
Starter would not do ANYTHING so I took it off the Kawasaki 6.75 engine and just hooked it up to a car battery with no results.
I took the starter all apart. It was corroded and I clean the armature and reassembled and retested and it worked... <kinda felt proud of myself>
Well. it spun and at least SOUNDED like a motor.
So I put the entire thing back together and hooked it up to the jumper cables that I tested it with before & I can hear it spin but it won't engage the flywheel.
So I guess, as long as it doesn't rain, I'll take the starter off again.
If I just use the pull string this engine is so nice that it only takes 1-2 really easy pulls to start.
I am just doing this as a learning experience (at 64 years old).
BTW I am cheap so I don't want to spend money on a new starter.
