What's the secret to removing the top gear for replacement? There's no pin to pop out. Replace with aluminum or plastic?

There is a ring on top when you press that round part under the gear you can see it well. I can see it in your pic...

You gonna have to settle for the plastic gear bout 5 bucks I think I sell them for that......

Take a screw driver and pop it off.... SAFETY GLASSES and a rag around it to keep it from going across the room....

Watch to see how the parts come off and then put the new ring gear on and take a 3/8 deep socket and pop the little ring back on........ I think it's a 3/8 socket............
