My Cub Cadet LT 1018 will not start. I've had the battery checked and it is good. I would like to check the solenoid and starter, how do I go about doing that and how do I go about replacing whichever is bad? I am a rookie on this "repair it myself" stuff, so please be as specific as possible; assume I know nothing and you'll probably be right.

Jump the solenoid with a screw driver .
If she cranks over I would get the starter solenoid . I picked up a customers machine today - cub Z turn and he wanted a new starter put in .... His battery cables were lose .
Jump pack just made the starter grown or the drive would move without going up to hit the flywheel - could be simple as that ?
