I have a 5237 that when cold starting have to keep pressing the primer for a while before it will keep running, after it catches it runs fine. Any suggestions?

Two-Stroke
I have had that problem with another model. I figured it was possibly running a bit lean. My attitude was that as long as it runs well when it's fully warmed up, I'm happy.
It cuts fine once it warms up, sometimes if I go ahead and push it into the grass before it warms up it will pick up and run fine, make take a look a the carb. had not thought of that.

With any two-cycle, I always tune for performance under load (warmed up).
