stalling

I have a X520 jd mower engine stalls when PTO clutch is on . Have checked fuel cap is open new clutcu , pulleys and belts has any one any ideas

i had one that the switch was bad and did that not saying that the prob ..but that's what mine was ...I checked safety's and all that tore my hair out ..Then found that took me 2 days to go threw the whole wiring on the tractor ...Also try unplugging the clutch and put power to it from a battery to make sure its not the clutch its self sometimes they burn out
