SRC 621 Control cable install

I need to install a new control cable but cannot seem to find where the cable installs onto the transmission assembly.

Did you get cable installed? If not go to this website having all numbers from your mower and see if schematic shows where cable connects.

I assume when you say control cable, you are referring to the shift cable? The shift cable connects to the mechanism near the engine crankshaft. If you remove the blade and the adapter, you will see the yolk with an eyelet hole where it connects. By moving the shift lever control, it "pinches" the belt at the crankshaft and using the technology like a snowmobile clutch, it changes the speed ratios. I hope that helps.
