Can someone tell me what can replace spark plug F6RTC for use on a Sears lawn tractor?
Craftsman 30 in. 420cc 6speed 1 cyl.

Someone kindly sent me to the spark plug replacement site to check out a replacement for a TorchF6RTC plug.

The suggested replacement seemed to be Champ. RN11YC.

I ordered that from Kohler (thru Home Depot) and they sent me Champ. RC12YC.

Will that work?

I know a "little" about what the numbers & letters in a spark plug mean, but they are not universal(NKG is differrent from Champion is different from Autolite). I have always leaned towards Champion Spark Plugs for all my engines and do know that the first R means they are a resistor type plug, the N or C denotes the Shell design/Thread size(I think Y & N are both 14mm threads), the "number"(11 or 12) denotes the heat range with the higher the number the "hotter" the plug and then the YC denotes the firing end design(with both of these indicating a Standard Projected Core Nose & Copper Core design). Bottom line these two plugs are very similar with the RC12YC being a little "hotter plug" than the other. To understand the difference in the 11 & 12 heat range numbers, go to the link below and click on "Heat Range" on the webpage which will bring up a pop-up box with an explanation. This is too complicated for me to try explaining here:0)

P.S.
Sometimes they(Champion) will "discontinue" a plug and when you order that you will get another plug that is as close to the discontinued plug as they have. I think that may be what happened in your case. Bottom line, I think it'll work fine...the RC12YC(but of course those links will tell you everything you always wanted to know about Champion plugs, but were afraid to ask:0)
