Got a Dixie Chopper Eagle HP in today for a start and run issue with 70 hours on it. I will bet you the first blade of grass that hit the mower was still on it. The grass was so high on the deck the blade belt had groves in the grass to run in. I got a 30 gallon trash can full of grass off the mower. People don't realize all the cooling air the mower deck gets is ambient air. If you have a blanket of grass around the blade spindles, belts and idlers it's kinda like running your car with no coolant in the radiator. One of the dirtiest mowers I've seen. Got it fixed and deliver back to customer after I cleaned it up. What a disgrace.
