Hi group, my mower starts fine but after 30 minutes it just dies. If I try to restart I get NO click. Once I wait for 15 minutes or so, it starts right up again. Could this be the solenoid going bad? Connections at battery, switch, starter, and solenoid are clean and tight. Thank you for your help in advance.
SOLVED 917.271532 runs for 30 minutes then dies. Starts right up after 15 minutes. No click in between.

Thank you Bertrrr. Does the solenoid have any part on keeping the tractor running or is it just to get it started? I am thinking I might have a safety switch issue. I'll by pass them to test. Thank you again.
Remove the kill wire off the ignition coil. Should run the tank dry if its good.
Pull the coil. Polish off the coil mounting pads and on the coil where it mounts/sits. Gives the coil a fresh new ground to work properly.
Proper coil gap while you are at it.
Either you are getting a fuel delivery issue or the coil is getting hot and shutting down.
Get a PET-4000 and load test the coil. Clean the fuel tank out. Install all new fuel lines to the carb.

Glad you found the problem. As for batteries they can do some pretty strange things at times.
Many years ago now I had one to reverse polarity over night in my 67 Chrysler 300. It was a fully charged battery so it should had never flipped but it did. Never figure why it did it just had to install a new battery.
