Tecumseh HMSK80 adjustable jet rebuilt carb runs great no leaks. My problem is when priming, leaks gas from the butterfly choke area when pressing the primer bulb. I replaced the seat, needle, pin, bowl gasket jet gasket...float had NO gas in it. What could cause this?

Is it leaking just while priming, or does priming cause it to start leaking? If it only drips some gas when depressing the primer bulb, it is probably nothing to worry about. Those Tecumseh engines had a very aggressive / rich priming circuit. It really helps in "cold starting". When depressing the primer bulb a shot of air enters the fuel bowl. This forces fuel into the main jet,up the nozzle, out into the venturi area and inake manifold. Then when pulling the engine to start, it 'inhales" that fuel to start. A lot of times, on those engines, the carburetor sits below the intake opening on the engine. There is an intake manifold that travels up hill, into the combustion chamber. When the carb "spits fuel out" it rolls back down and out the choke side. Let us know.
