I always thought that mower was under powered use to replace that engine with a 5 hp Tecumseh. Great engine and a lot more power. You may be able to cross it to a newer more powerful lighter engine with the model type code and trim no.s

This one should spin your blade. 223cc's and 10ft lbs of torque should do it.
